Pair of Webb or Richardson glass antique tazzas flashed red and cut. Middle to late victorian glass can be very difficult to attribute. This is either a very early piece of Webb or even more excitingly: Richardson. Both certainly used the red flashing technique on the knurled edges. The designs features are: the greek key pattern (Webb): the flat polished stems (Richardsons) and matt finish glass is reminescent of both. The few small inclusions in the glass also give that hint of Richardson.
They are absolutely gorgeous. The pair are nearly identical in height, the variation purely in the making. Early Victorian English glass of this size is becoming rarer than Georgian.
